nWay Unveils Wreck League
Wreck League, a multiplayer fighting game for the Web3 platform, was recently released by nWay, a division of Animoca Brands. Mechs can be built and piloted by players in intense combat. With support for both Web2 and Web3, this creative game can reach a wide range of players and hopefully bring in some new converts to the Web3 platform. The Web3 edition kicks off with a Mech minting competition and an exciting two-week leaderboard tournament, with on-chain prizes like one-of-a-kind NFTs and mech sets up for grabs. The game aims to bridge the gap between the Web3 and PC gaming communities by offering both a Mech NFT-required Web3 version and a free-to-play Web2 version.
In addition, this is a big step for nWay, as it involves the incorporation of characters from Yuga Labs’ Bored Ape Yacht Club and other Yugaverse Web3 works. This move into the “extended Yugaverse” is indicative of nWay’s dedication to progress. Wreck League is nWay’s latest attempt to revolutionize the esports industry and cultivate a thriving online gaming culture through its innovative gameplay, player-owned digital assets, and intense multiplayer competition. The developer’s previous titles include Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, WWE: Undefeated, and ChronoBlade.
Web3 Game Mojo Melee Heads to Amazon Prime Gaming
Web3 gaming hits Amazon Prime with Mojo Melee NFT, a Polygon Ethereum blockchain game. Amazon partners with Mojo Melee developer Mystic Moose. The partnership will bring the web3 deck-building game to Amazon Prime Members. Members receive monthly NFTs and in-game currency packs and Spellstones. NFTs will have exclusive skins and champions. Six months of free giveaways. These NFTs can be traded on NFT marketplaces or used in future Planet Mojo games. Amazon Prime Gaming portal members can get the free package by creating a Mojo Melee account. 885 Ore and NFT champion Gwyn Rockhopper are included.
The champion characters NFT offers are big and special. Players must level up before minting champions as NFTs. Thus, early champion NFT drops are a huge offer.
Mojo Melee combines deck-building and auto-chess. EA, Activision, and LucasArts veterans designed the game. The developers created player-friendly, easy-to-understand in-game components that require experience to master. Team choice distinguishes the game. Both sides use the same units in autochess. Mojo Melee uses deck-building elements to let you pick your team. Mojo Melee has RTS elements. The game is also browser- and Android-compatible.
The British Museum Goes into the Metaverse of The Sandbox
The British Museum has partnered with the Ethereum-based metaverse game The Sandbox. Besides, the British Museum houses human history and culture. Because it offers new ways to experience and discuss virtual arts, cultures, and histories, the art-gaming partnership intrigues both communities. Thanks to the British Museum and The Sandbox partnership, NFTs, blockchain technology, and immersive experiences coexist with centuries-old artifacts. BBC Studios, like the British Museum, has embraced virtual reality. BBC Studios will add Doctor Who and Top Gear-inspired content to The Sandbox.
The Sandbox is a vast, interconnected metaverse. Blockchain lets users create, own, and trade unique experiences. The Sandbox encourages experimentation. They can then create interactive narratives and digital environments. This makes it “part virtual real estate, part amusement park.”Ubisoft, Gucci Vault, The Walking Dead, and Adidas have flocked to the Sandbox, a gaming, fashion, and entertainment hub. Its digital community is growing by millions.
The Medieval Empires Web3 Game Chooses Immutable zkEVM
The developers of the popular web3 game Medieval Empires, Moon Gaming, have joined forces with blockchain startup Immutable. The Immubtale zkEVM, on Polygon, will provide all the necessary support to construct the game. The Medieval Empires are coming along with Immutable as they expand into the MENA market. When it comes to blockchain games, The Medieval Empires is at the top of everyone’s list. Over $7 million in funding has been acquired for the game. The development team is also planning a release for PC, mobile, and Mac computers. The Medieval Empires on Immutable zkEVM joins the ranks of games hosted on the platform, which includes Ember Sword, Gods Unchained, Undead Blocks, Cross the Ages, Guild of Guardians, MetalCore, Habbo X, Oxya Origin, Blocklords, and countless others.
The game is still in its early stages of development, but it has already generated a lot of buzz among gamers. More than 175 thousand people follow the Medieval Empire across its various social media platforms. Additionally, the funding is pretty decent. The game’s creators have just recently opened up the sale of in-game land NFTs on OpenSea to the general public. So, it’s safe to say that the game is improving and will keep releasing patches for its players.
Web3 Game Hunters On-Chain Offers Limited Season Zeor Perks
Season 0 of Hunters On-Chain, a top-down action PvE game, has been released, with rewards going to the top 10 players on a leaderboard that will remain active for a month. There have been no updates on the potential for increased rewards, despite early hints to the contrary. Unfortunately, Season 0 is using a pay-to-win model in web3 gaming in which players having money can increase their points on the leaderboard. This is possible by using primarily BGEM which is purchasable. The BGEM tokens help in purchasing chests, and Hunter upgrades. Increased BGEM accumulation benefits players already in advantageous positions, and this is especially true for larger collections of Hunters and higher-tier or leveled-up Hunters. Season 0 rewards include BOOM tokens, which give an advantage to players who have Hunters with powerful equipment. Despite initial praise, Hunters On-Chain is now under criticism because of its unusual decisions.
